Compiled by Tuncer Deniz Full Throttle • When it’s time for you to interact in a scene, be sure to search the whole screen for items you can take. If Ben can inventory it, chances are you’ll need it in the future. If Ben’s won’t take an item, you won’t need it. • Remember, you aren’t on the clock. Take your time and think things through. Don’t be afraid to experiment. • Keep your eyes peeled, and look at the scene carefully. Most puzzles require you to manipulate something that’s already on the screen. • Sometimes, the key to moving on is to cause a distraction. • If you let your Mac idle while the game is running, Full Throttle will activate its own screen saver. It’s a slide show of the different motorcycles. Diamonds 3D • Keep control of your ball. Try to avoid extreme angle shots. If you don’t, the ball will be bouncing around out of control before you can say shattered glass. • Holding the ball even briefly will straighten it out when you let go. • Your paddle is recharged every time the ball hits it. You can work up a decent charge fairly quickly by getting the ball going back and forth between a nearby impervious brick and the paddle. • After the 20th level, you might not find the right special bricks to change the ball to the color you need. You might have to start over on the previous level and make sure the ball is the right color before you move on. • Read the manual. It’s well written and contains many hints, tips and strategies for various levels. AmoebArena • A wall of Blockers supported by a Converter can open a doorway to acquisition. • Keep your pieces together for more versatile combination moves. • In the endgame, enemy Blockers can both provide your pieces with nourishment and push you into harm’s way. • It is very important to remember that Cytozoids can only kill once per turn; Amoeboids can only attack once per turn. • Most computer opponents are friendly to their own species. Beware herds of Neurotrons. Day of the Tentacle • As you drag your cursor over an object, the most appropriate type of action in the list will highlight. Don’t forget to pay attention to that. • Always try to ask as many question of a person as you can get away with. Many will volunteer a great deal of information • Don’t skip the “cut” scenes, even if they take a long time. Important information is sometimes given during the scenes, and it will cost you a great deal of thought and searching if you don’t hear the information. • Virtually all the cranks and levers do something important. Be sure to try them out. • You will often have to make or repair things, so make sure to pick up as many items as you can as you explore. You never know when a particular unassuming item is the key to time travel. Zoop • Watch all sides and turn the sound up so that you can hear the warning bell. • Don’t get all the power-ups as soon as they appear; let them sit until they’re needed. • You can get a lot of points by converting rows into a single color and waiting until the warning sounds, then destroying them; you get 1500 points. Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller • Be sure to interact with every character in the game. Each can provide potentially valuable clues and leads. • Kween Chaos is giving you the password to summon Mr. Beautiful, just listen carefully to what she says. • Even a lowly secretary can be of importance, especially in the Clean’s headquarters. • Make sure you grab some weapons before you face the demon Sanguanarius. • Don’t think that once you’ve interacted with a characters once, that you’re through with them. What you do later can trigger them into further assistance.
